Cuprinol UV Guard Decking Oil, nourishes the wood and protects against the weather. Its tinted formula revitalises the colour of weathered wood and penetrates deeply to replace natural oils and resin lost from weathering.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.
- To clean decking give it a good brush with a stiff broom to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood
- Check the surface of the decking for loose screws or boards and ensure these are tightened
- If the decking has been previously stained, painted or varnished, we recommend you strip it back to the bare wood. For previously stained decking use

Application
Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.
- Apply 2-3 coats evenly and along the grain using a brush or roller
- Allow each coat to dry fully before recoating
- Apply only in dry conditions, above 5°C and when bad weather is not forecast
- For strong colours more coats may be needed
- If using more than one tin it’s advisable to mix together in a large container or finish in a corner before starting a new can to ensure consistency in colour
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
Aftercare & Storage
To maintain your decking reapply 1 coat each year to prolong the life of the wood. Occasional cleaning with a dampened cloth or brush can also prolong the life of your treated wood.
Store any remaining paint in dry conditions and protect from frost and sunlight.
